Pitkin is our main knapping material and our main reason for being in business. It is an extremely rare chert/flint that creates some very beautiful and outstanding points, as you can see by this point knapped by Don Rogers. Our pitkin comes in a mix of sizes but most are 3 inches or larger up to 5 inches. Occasionally we will throw in a 6-8 inch piece if we come across one. |

Kentucky blue flint is highly sought after and fairly difficult to locate. You know Kentucky Blue when you find it as it comes in Nodules, round formations encrusted in a white to light brown chalky material. Excellent for knapping and hard to get. Check for availability on this item before ordering as we go through it pretty quick. PRICE: 2 . 50 per pound |
